Experience the best of Cape Town with our Half-Day Table Mountain & Penguins Group Tour, a perfect combination of breath-taking landscapes, fascinating wildlife, and rich history. This tour takes you to the iconic Table Mountain, where you’ll witness panoramic views of the city, followed by a scenic coastal drive to visit the charming African penguins at Boulders Beach.
Our tour begins with a pick-up at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00 am (flexible). This all-inclusive private tour takes you to Table Mountain, Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, and the Cape of Good Hope. We start with a brief orientation of the city, driving through the center where your TOS Travel and Tours guide will point out historical monuments and museums to set the context for the rest of the tour.
Our first stop is Bo-Kaap, formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter. Here, you can take memorable photos with the brightly colored houses. Your TOS Travel and Tours guide will share fascinating stories about the history and heritage of this community, which traces its roots back to Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Don’t miss the chance to taste traditional Cape Malay treats like samoosas and koeksisters, available from local vendors.
Clifton is renowned for having some of the most expensive villas in Africa. Apart from its reputation as a millionaire's enclave, it also features four stunning public beaches. These beaches offer breathtaking views and are perfect for relaxation.
Located just outside the city center along the Atlantic seaboard, Camps Bay is often called the Beverly Hills of Cape Town. It offers some of the most spectacular views in the area. We'll stop at Maiden's Cove, a scenic spot that provides fantastic views of Camps Bay.
Departing from Hout Bay, we drive along the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive and stop at a viewpoint for photos. This route is renowned for its breathtaking views and is considered one of the world’s most beautiful drives.
Our next stop is Boulders Beach, where you’ll see the African penguins up close. Your guide will take you to the viewing point where you might even spot a few penguins walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
Before entering the Cape of Good Hope National Park, you'll pass an ostrich farm. If you'd like, we can make a quick stop to take photos of Africa's largest flightless bird.
Table Mountain National Park Cape of Good Hope, part of the Cape Floral Kingdom and the local fauna, is a 7,750-hectare park and UNESCO World Heritage site. Home to the Cape Point Lighthouse and the Cape of Good Hope, this area has more plant and rare species than any other floral kingdom. You might even spot some wildlife.
The Cape of Good Hope is known for its rugged coastline, rough waters, and historical significance. Early sailors called it the corner of Africa. Here, you can hike to the summit and take a photo with the famous sign: "Welcome to the Cape of Good Hope!"
A paved path from the Cape Point car park leads to the third-oldest lighthouse in the country. Though it was decommissioned in 1919, the lighthouse offers great views and photo opportunities. A funicular is available for those who prefer not to walk.
Complete the tour with a visit to Groot Constantia, a historic wine estate established in 1685. The estate, rich in history and charm, is a delight to explore. Enjoy a group tour of its interesting wine cellars, and finish your visit with a wine-tasting session before heading back to Cape Town.
