Tour Overview
Aquila Game Reserve is a 10,000-hectare farm located 2 hours north of Cape Town. It offers the closest safari experience for Cape Town visitors. Though not a true safari, Aquila is a game reserve working to reintroduce the Big 5 and other animals to this part of South Africa after they became extinct here in the late 1400s.
Join our group tour where we will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to Aquila in a shared vehicle. Enjoy a 2 to 3-hour game drive, covering about half the size of the reserve, and spot diverse wildlife. After the game drive, savor a delicious buffet lunch. Spend the rest of the day swimming or sunbathing before we drive you back to your accommodation.
For those who wish to extend their stay, Aquila offers 5-star accommodations. You can also enjoy a safari on horseback or quad bike, or volunteer at the Rhino foster care facility. Applications can be made directly through the Aquila website.
